This Smart Rice set reimagines the traditional rice cooker with a modern, sleek design inspired by the curvature of a rice paddle. Its separate water dispenser automatically measures the weight of the rice bowl and dispenses the precise amount of water needed.
Design Process
Product Sketches
The lid's shape takes inspiration from the classic rice paddle, seamlessly following the curvature of the base. This design allows the rice paddle to rest conveniently on top of the rice cooker.
Modeling Process
Smart Water Dispenser
This two-part product enables users to place a bowl of rice on the scale, measuring its weight in ounces or grams. Based on the weight, the dispenser automatically adds the appropriate amount of water. Designed for versatility, the dispenser can also be used to fill other containers, such as water bottles or plant pots.
Complementing the rice cooker, the water dispenser follows the same design language, featuring sleek matte plastic, a sturdy metal rack, and a clear plastic water container.
